Delete your account
How to permanently delete your Akwa account, what gets deleted, retention timeline, and how to make a deletion request.
Path 1: in-app deletion
- Sign in at akwa.design/sign-in (or the iOS / Android app).
- Open Settings.
- Scroll to "Delete account" at the bottom.
- Type DELETE in the confirmation field, then press Delete.
- Your account and personal data are removed.
Path 2: email request
If you cannot sign in, email hello@akwa.design with your registered email address. Processed within 30 days, per GDPR.
What gets deleted
- Your account record (email, name, authentication credentials)
- Your design history (briefs, renders, tailor packs)
- Saved catalogue items, waitlist entries, personalisation data
- Your post-cancellation subscription state (active subscriptions must be cancelled separately via Apple, Google Play, Paystack, or Stripe)
What is retained
- Anonymised purchase records (Dutch tax and accounting law: typically 7 years)
- Aggregated analytics that cannot be linked back to you
- Catalogue listings you authored as a creator, if commercially licensed (the licence outlives your account; creator attribution is anonymised)
Cancelling subscriptions
Account deletion does not automatically cancel an active subscription. Cancel through the original payment provider.
- Apple: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
- Google Play: Play Store > Profile > Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions
- Paystack / Stripe: cancel from your akwa.design account, or email hello@akwa.design
