Downloading the Tailor Brief PDF
Every Akwa design generates a Tailor Brief that you can download as a PDF and hand directly to your atelier or tailor.
What's in the Tailor Brief
The Tailor Brief is the construction document. It carries:
- Garment name and category
- Silhouette description with structural notes
- Neckline architecture
- Sleeve and shoulder construction
- Fabric specification (primary fabric, lining, interlining, trims)
- Drape and movement intent
- Closure mechanism (zip, hook-and-eye, button, tie)
- Fit intent (fitted, structured, relaxed, draped)
- Embellishment placement and density
- Colour breakdown with proportions
- Occasion register
- Tailor notes (atelier-specific construction reminders)
Your tailor reads the brief and makes the garment. No back-and-forth required for basics.
